Position Details

Position Title: Workshop Supervisor

Key Responsibilities (Inferred)

As a Workshop Supervisor at an Integrated Farm, the primary responsibilities would involve the effective management of the farm's maintenance and repair operations. These typically include:

1. Supervision & Management: Lead and manage all daily activities of the workshop personnel, including mechanics and technicians.
2. Maintenance Planning: Plan, schedule, and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance on all farm machinery, equipment, and vehicles (including agricultural, automotive, and mechanical assets).
3. Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team to ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed to high-quality standards and within established timelines.
4. Resource Management: Manage the workshop's inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing downtime.
5. Quality & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and relevant regulations within the workshop environment.
6. Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, repair costs, and workshop efficiency for management.

Educational Requirement

• A First Degree from a recognized university/college in one of the following fields of study:
  • Automotive Engineering
  • Agricultural Engineering
  • Automotive Technology
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Or in other relevant field of study.

Experience Requirement (Must meet one of the following)

• 4 years of related work experience.
  • OR
• 1 year in a supervisory or senior expertise position/s.

Required Skills (Inferred)

• Technical Knowledge: Deep practical knowledge of automotive, agricultural, and general mechanical systems.
• Supervisory Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a technical team.
• Planning & Organization: Strong skills in maintenance planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly diagnose complex mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions.
• Communication: Excellent communication and reporting skills for liaising with both the technical team and farm management.
