Job Summary

Silk Road General Hospital is seeking skilled and dedicated Radiology Technologists to join our diagnostic imaging team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for performing high-quality radiology examinations using advanced imaging equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. The ideal candidates will be responsible for performing high-quality radiology examinations using advanced imaging equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. They will ensure patient safety, maintain imaging equipment, and uphold the hospital’s standards for excellence, accuracy, and compassionate care.

Duties & Responsibilities 

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and ultrasound (as applicable).
• Prepare and position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate and maintain radiology equipment in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Ensure radiation protection and safety measures for patients, staff, and self.
• Verify patient identity and review medical histories to ensure appropriate imaging procedures are performed.
• Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to interpret images and assist in accurate diagnoses.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance and promptly report any technical issues or malfunctions.
• Provide clear instructions and compassionate care to patients during imaging procedures.
• Adhere to hospital policies, professional ethics, and confidentiality standards.
• Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement activities.

Minimum Specification Requiremenet

Educational Qualification & Work Experience

• Graduated from accredited  University /Medical college Bachelor’s Degree in Radiology Technology
• Professional license or certification from the relevant health regulatory authority in Ethiopia.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in diagnostic imaging services (hospital or clinical setting preferred).
• Valid/renewed professional license

Knowledge & Skill requiremenets

• Strong knowledge of radiology imaging techniques, procedures, and equipment operation.
• Understanding of radiation safety, protection measures, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Competence in patient positioning, preparation, and communication to ensure comfort and safety.
• Familiarity with hospital information systems and digital imaging software.
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills to handle technical or patient related issues.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a healthcare team.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality, professional ethics, and high standards of care.
• Have good communication skill. 
• Have some computer skills. 
• The ability to offer emotional support to parents, guardians, and family members.
• The ability to work in a team.
• Language: Fluent in English (oral & written)
