• Draft, review, and update company policies, contracts, and corporate governance documents to ensure legal compliance and alignment with business goals.
• Conduct in-depth legal research on logistics regulations, trade laws, labor laws, and contractual obligations to provide accurate and timely advice to management.
• Prepare, negotiate, and finalize logistics-specific agreements, including service agreements, supplier contracts, and client arrangements.
• Advise management on legal risks and implications related to acquisitions, partnerships, and expansion strategies within the logistics sector.
• Review and interpret government directives, permits, and regulatory updates affecting transport, import/export, and warehousing activities.
• Support internal audit and compliance processes by planning legal reviews, identifying non-compliance issues, and proposing corrective measures.
• Develop and present detailed legal plans for assigned cases or audits, including timelines, resource requirements, and completion schedules.
• Organize and lead meetings with management, auditors, and other stakeholders to discuss legal findings and agree on follow-up actions.
• Record and maintain minutes of all legal and audit-related discussions, ensuring proper documentation and signatures.
• Represent the company in legal negotiations, mediations, and proceedings to protect the company's interests.
• Provide continuous legal support to internal departments (Operations, HR, Finance, Procurement) to ensure all activities meet compliance standards.
• Maintain an updated and secure legal database for all contracts, agreements, and correspondence, ensuring easy access for authorized users.

Education:
A minimum of an LLB degree from a recognized university is required, with an LLM or related Master's degree being a strong advantage.

Experience:

• Legal Officer: A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate legal experience in a corporate legal department or law firm is required, and experience within the logistics, transport, or supply chain sectors is an advantage.
• Senior Legal Officer: A minimum of 7 years of post-graduate legal experience, with at least 4 years in a corporate legal department or law firm, is required, and significant, proven experience within the logistics, transport, or supply chain sectors is highly advantageous.
