• Implement Boortmalt’s barley sourcing and production strategies within the designated area.
• Identify suitable farmers and plots for malting barley production.
• Coordinate distribution of agricultural inputs in collaboration with Primary Cooperatives.
• Conduct and oversee demonstration plots for farmer training and technology transfer.
• Monitor crop performance and provide on-the-ground technical assistance.
• Ensure compliance with recommended agronomic and crop protection practices.
• Build and maintain relationships with local agriculture offices and community stakeholders.
• Organize and facilitate field visits, training sessions, and farmer field days.
• Support harvest and post-harvest activities, including quality control and collection logistics.
• Collaborate with cooperatives and farmers to achieve production volume and quality targets.
• Provide regular reports and field updates to the Zonal Agriculture Coordinator.
• Perform any other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Education: Degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related agricultural field. Valid motorbike driving license

Experience: 2–3 years of proven experience in agronomic fieldwork, agricultural extension, or related areas

Skills:

Fluent in the local language; knowledge of foreign languages is an advantage

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email communication

Safety-conscious approach to fieldwork
