Major Duties and Responsibility

Take, instruction from Mill Shift Supervisor to execute the daily shift milling duties to perform necessary tasks to operate both mills and cleaning efficiently.

1. Participate and promote a safety culture that fosters a safe work environment for everyone at the plant.

2. Follow up and control efficiently operate both mills and cleaning unit, justify decision making boots morale. Furthermore, model respect, integrity, service, creativity and teamwork as outlined by the company core values.

3. Propose reasoning skills to prioritize the operation of milling equipment to optimize quality, cost, yield, and productivity on an ongoing basis. Check and propose to adjust equipment on an ongoing basis to account for changes in grain and other variables to ensure that the processing units are performing efficiently

4. Proactively participate in food security and quality inspection through the year

5. Inform appropriate management personnel of any problems that could affect personnel safety, plant production, product quality, yields or unnecessary downtime.

6. Seek out and identify & propose opportunities to improve plant operating systems and products.

7. Continuously follow up the milling operations throughout the shift

8. Check break roll extractions daily. Analyze and record results and propose to make necessary adjustments to keep mill balance in check.

9. Observe operation of all rolls continuously and ensure stock are properly distributed across the entire length of the rolls and roll gaps and brushes are set to maximize grinding efficiency.

10. Clean and keep working area and machinery from dirty and dusty through the year. Inspect and check all process line and final product   by depends on quality parameter. Make qualitative & quantitative observations of various stocks to subsequent roll passages to optimize mill performance.

11. Evaluate sifter performance, checking for any sieve issues that may affect flour color and ash.

12. Analyze bran and shorts streams continuously to monitor mill efficiency with regards to cleaning up these co-products.

13. Work closely with team to ensure all safety procedures are being followed during the shift.

14. Ensures documentation is carried out for the various points of the operation as needed.

15. During scheduled mill down time, the assistance miller work with the team the various repair needs to be accomplished. Assistance Miller can participate in roll changes. sifter work, auxiliary equipment maintenance, etc

16. Utilizes various shift production reports which includes information related to the break release settings during the shift, roller motor current readings, mill running hour etc. Documents and summarizes all scale readings during shift. 

17. Performs any additional jobs that may be given by his/her immediate supervisor.

Qualification: BSC Degree in Mechanical Engineering or level IV in general mechanic or related field. 

Work experience: 2(two) years and above for BSC Degree, and 4(four) years and above for level working in food manufacturing industry in similar role.
