ContractThe Opportunity
The position holder is expected to facilitate EiE project activities within Plan and also technically supports school teachers from along with supervisors and school principals and hence expected to possess extensive professional knowledge and experience in project activity implementation and Education in Emergencies and proven track record in mentoring and developing school leaders. The post holder will play a key role in establishing and maintaining sound working relationships and partnerships with local partner and government counterpart and other civil society organizations.
The role will also be responsible for providing technical guidance, tools, and support on programme design and delivery in Provision of quality education, life-saving, and integrated child protection services for children affected by the conflict within Plan International’s portfolio of work.

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)
Master or Bachelor degree in education and 1st degree in education, social science, economics or relevant fields with additional training in education planning and management and project planning and management techniques
Knowledge of current national international strategies on access, equity, and quality education and child protection policies and models
Recommended a minimum of three years of relevant experience in education or child protection in emergencies for masters and a minimum of 5 years + for bachelor of education.
Relevant trainings in the area of education or child protection project management and monitoring
Experience of working with local/national governments and capacity building of systems, partners and staff
Ability to extensively travel for project monitoring and provide on-site technical support to field teams
Good interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching
Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mindsets
Fluency in Amharic and English, both verbal and written, required
Commitment to Plan International values
Languages required:
Fluency in English language is essential
In addition to Amharic other local Knowledge of Local Languages is a desirable
