The Opportunity
PIE is looking for experienced Roving SRH &GBV Specialist to support the implementation of the Countering Harmful Practices F4B Project (2026–2030), funded by the Dutch Ministry for Foreign Affairs (MFA). This project aims to strengthen local civil society organizations to prevent and respond to harmful practices including Child, Early and Forced Marriage (CEFM), Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C), teenage pregnancy, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) across Ethiopia’s Amhara, Oromia, Somali, and Afar regions.
The Roving SRH & GBV Specialist will lead efforts to empower girls and women, challenge harmful social and gender norms, and advance comprehensive SRH and GBV services through advocacy and partnerships. The role involves implementing key project pathways, building the capacity of project teams and partners, and promoting gender-transformative and meaningful and inclusive youth participation(MIYP). The Specialist will oversee planning, coordination, and quality delivery of activities, while supporting evidence generation, monitoring, and collaboration with government sectors and civil society organizations. Additionally, the position holder, guided by SRHR Sector Lead, is responsible for developing and contextualizing strategies, tools, and guidelines for capacity building, policy and legal reviews, advocacy, and strengthening partnerships to mainstream SRH and GBV services.
