The opportunity
Plan International Ethiopia is looking for experienced Project Coordinators to be based in Oromia Program Area, Yabello to coordinate “Countering Harmful Practices F4B Project”.
The Project Coordinator will provide overall regional level coordination for the Countering Harmful Practices F4B Project (2026–2030), funded by the Dutch Ministry for Foreign Affairs (MFA). This project aims to strengthen local civil society organizations to prevent and respond to harmful practices including Child, Early and Forced Marriage (CEFM), Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C), teenage pregnancy, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Oromia Region.
The Project Coordinator will support the effective and timely implementation of the project at regional level, ensuring activities are delivered smoothly, resources are used efficiently, and partnerships are well coordinated. working under the guidance of the Project Manager, the role focuses on day-to-day coordination, monitoring, and reporting of project activities within the assigned region, in line with approved plans, budgets, donor requirements, and Plan International Ethiopia policies. the Project Coordinator will work closely with regional government bureaus, Amref Health Africa, and local implementing partners to facilitate collaboration, address implementation challenges, and support the achievement of project results. the role will contribute to promoting gender equality, disability inclusion, and climate-sensitive approaches in regional implementation.

Safeguarding Children and Program Participants (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Science, Project Management, Reproductive Health, Sociology, Development studies, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in regional project management, with strong sectoral expertise on SRHR, CP/GBV, and related sectors with good understanding of regional context.
Experience in budget management and monitoring.
Experience of working on complex projects that involves diversified local implementing partners.
Know-how of SRH and GBV strategies/policy frameworks, teenage pregnancy roadmap, child marriage, and FGM.
Experience in planning, budget management, delivering trainings.
