Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, honest, and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage our central warehouse operations in Addis Ababa. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, safeguarding, and issuance of imported and export-bound goods. This role is critical to maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the seamless flow of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities and items against purchase orders and shipping documents.

• Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.

• Properly label, store, and organize all items in the warehouse for optimal space utilization and easy retrieval.

• Prepare and issue materials, tools, equipment, and stock based on approved requisitions and delivery orders.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records (both manual and digital) using stock cards or inventory management software.

• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with book records to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Ensure the warehouse is clean, orderly, and secure at all times.

• Adhere to health, safety, and security standards and procedures within the warehouse.

• Assist in preparing documentation for customs clearance and shipment of export goods.

• Coordinate with the logistics, procurement, and sales teams to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or above in Supplies Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.

• A minimum of 1 year of proven work experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, or in a similar inventory management role.

• Experience in an import-export or fast-moving trading company is a distinct advantage.

• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Basic proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, especially Excel). Experience with inventory management software is a plus.

• Physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks, including lifting and moving items.

• High level of integrity, reliability, and responsibility.

• Good communication skills in Afan Oromo, Amharic; working knowledge of English is beneficial.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
