Role Description:

 The Business Development and Tender Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Addis Ababa.

• Identify new business opportunities, business expansions, monitoring tender announcements, and preparing competitive tender proposals and bids.

• Conduct market and competitor research, maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients, and coordinating with internal teams to gather technical and financial inputs for proposals.

• Develop different business proposals and tender documents.

• Manage tender documentation, ensure compliance with client requirements and company standards, and track submission deadlines and outcomes.

• Day-to-day activities also include updating the business development pipeline, supporting contract negotiations, and providing regular reports on business opportunities and tender performance.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical skills for evaluating business opportunities, tender requirements, and market trends.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.

• Proficiency in lead generation and market research to identify potential clients, tenders, and growth opportunities.

• Ability to prepare, review, and organize tender documents and proposals with high attention to detail and accuracy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of Experience in business development, sales, or tender management, preferably in media, marketing, or related industries.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tenders and deadlines.

• Proficiency in common office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with online tender platforms.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
