Job Title - Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) – Factory Operations
Job Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic and operational partner to factory leadership, aligning people strategies with business objectives to drive organizational performance. The role is responsible for supporting workforce planning, employee relations, talent management, performance management, employee engagement, compliance, and organizational effectiveness within the manufacturing environment. The HRBP ensures HR initiatives contribute to productivity, employee well-being, and a positive workplace culture while maintaining compliance with labor laws and company policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic HR Partnership
Partner with factory leadership to align workforce strategies with business objectives.
Provide HR insights and recommendations to support operational decision-making.
Support organizational restructuring, workforce optimization, and change management initiatives.
Analyze workforce trends and recommend solutions to improve productivity and employee engagement.
Workforce Planning & Talent Management
Support manpower planning and staffing requirements for factory operations.
Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure timely recruitment of critical positions.
Assist managers in identifying talent gaps and succession planning opportunities.
Employee Relations
Build and maintain positive employee relations throughout the factory.
Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on employee relations matters.
Investigate employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary issues.
Facilitate conflict resolution and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Support grievance management processes in compliance with company policies and labor laws.
Performance Management
Support the implementation of performance management processes.
Coach managers on performance improvement and employee development.
Facilitate performance review cycles and ensure timely completion.
Employee Engagement & Culture
Implement initiatives that promote employee engagement and retention.
Support employee communication programs and engagement activities.
Conduct employee feedback sessions and recommend improvement actions.
Promote company values, culture, and diversity initiatives.
Learning & Development
Identify training and development needs within factory operations.
Coordinate technical, leadership, compliance, and soft-skills training programs.
Monitor training effectiveness and support employee development plans.
Promote continuous learning and career development opportunities.
HR Operations & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian labor laws, company policies, and HR procedures.
Support policy implementation and employee awareness initiatives.
Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
Participate in internal and external audits as required.
Ensure HR processes are implemented consistently across factory departments.
Labor Relations
Support communication and engagement with employee representatives or worker committees.
Monitor labor relations risks and recommend mitigation measures.
Support negotiations and dispute resolution processes as directed.
Compensation & Benefits
Assist in benchmarking and workforce cost analysis.
Support implementation of employee recognition programs.
Ensure employee queries related to compensation and benefits are addressed promptly.
HR Reporting & Analytics
Analyze HR metrics and prepare regular workforce reports.
Monitor absenteeism, turnover, overtime, headcount, and engagement trends.
Provide data-driven recommendations to improve workforce effectiveness.
Maintain accurate HR dashboards and reports.
Health, Safety & Wellbeing
Partner with HSE teams to promote employee health and safety initiatives.
Support employee wellness programs and awareness activities.
Participate in investigations involving employee-related safety incidents.
Promote a safe and healthy work environment
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
Master's Degree in Human Resource Management, MBA, or related discipline is an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience.
At least 2 years supporting manufacturing, industrial, or factory operations.
Experience in employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, and labor law compliance.
Experience supporting large employee populations is preferred.

Salary – Attractive
