CDE Coordinator (Chief Technician)

Job Description

Job Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Refrigeration, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in refrigeration or technical service, including supervision of technicians and management of a distributed equipment estate.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain the complete register of cold equipment — unit, serial, location, outlet, custodian, agreement, status & reconcile it physically at defined intervals.

• Coordinate installation, relocation and removal of units against approved placement decisions, with custody documentation completed at every movement.

• Plan and control preventive maintenance and fault repair, directly and through third-party technicians, to keep units in working order.

• Set and enforce the technical standards for installation, safety, refrigerant handling and electrical connection.

• Drive physical recovery of units from closed, non-compliant or terminated outlets, with evidence.

• Control the maintenance budget, spares stock and third-party technician costs.

• Support and train field teams and outlet staff on basic cooler care, cleaning and correct use.
