Embroidery Supervisor / Lead

Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

The Embroidery Lead runs the embroidery unit, working closely with digitizing to ensure designs are executed cleanly, consistently and on schedule across corporate logos, uniforms and promotional items.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule embroidery jobs across machines based on order priority and digitized file readiness.
• Inspect embroidered pieces for stitch quality, placement accuracy and thread tension issues.
• Coordinate with the digitizing team on file adjustments needed for clean production runs.
• Minimize thread breakage and material waste through proper machine setup and monitoring.
• Track embroidery output and report status/delays to the Production Supervisor.
• Train embroidery operators on machine operation and quality checks.
• Maintain embroidery machines and coordinate servicing/repairs as needed.

Direct Reports: Embroidery machine operators; digitizing coordination

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Certificate/Diploma in Textile/Embroidery Technology or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years' operating industrial embroidery machines, with some supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with digitized design files and machine setup.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Strong eye for embroidery detail and finish quality.
• Technical know-how on embroidery machine operation and troubleshooting.
• Good coordination with digitizing and QC.
• Efficient scheduling to keep machines running at capacity.
