ABOUT THE ROLE
Tedla Ambulance Services PLC is seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager to provide overall leadership and strategic direction to the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and organizational growth of Tedla, ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable, and high-quality emergency medical transport services across Addis Ababa.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide overall leadership, direction, and management of the company's operations, staff, and resources
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company objectives and sustainable growth
Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and resource allocation in coordination with the Finance Department
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian Labour Proclamation No. 1156/2019 and all relevant regulatory requirements, including licensing with AAFDA
Represent the company before regulators, partners, clients, and other external stakeholders
Oversee service quality, fleet readiness, and operational standards across dispatch, marketing, and station operations
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with hospitals, clinics, corporates, NGOs, and insurance providers
Guide and support department heads (HR, Finance, Marketing, Dispatch) in achieving performance targets
Report regularly to the Board of Directors/Shareholders on company performance and key decisions
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
BA/MA Degree in Business Administration, Management, Health Services Administration, or a related field
Minimum five years of progressive management experience, preferably in healthcare, emergency services, or a related industry
Sound knowledge of Ethiopian Labour Law, business regulations, and licensing requirements
Strong strategic planning, financial management, and decision-making skills
Proven leadership ability with experience managing multi-department teams
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
