Job Description

Gynecology and Obstetrics Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive, high-quality reproductive, maternal, gynecological, and obstetric healthcare services at the FGAE MCH Center. Support the organization's commitment to health outcomes through client-centered and evidence-based care.

Job Requirements

  • Education: MD + Specialty in Gynecology and Obstetrics /Emergency Surgery 

  • Experience: 2 years’ service related experience 

Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Service Delivery
  • Provide comprehensive gynecological and obstetric consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up services.

  • Conduct antenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and post-abortion care according to national and international clinical standards.

  • Perform gynecological examinations, procedures, and surgical interventions within the scope of practice.

  • Diagnose and manage high-risk pregnancies and gynecological conditions.

  • Provide family planning counseling and services, including long-acting reversible contraceptives and permanent methods where applicable.

  • Ensure proper management and referral of complicated cases requiring specialized care.

  • Participate in emergency obstetric and gynecological care services.

  • Support safe motherhood initiatives and maternal health programs.

  • Promote cervical cancer screening, breast health awareness, and prevention services.

  • Ensure compliance with FGAE clinical protocols, national treatment guidelines, and ethical standards.

  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records and medical documentation.

  • Monitor infection prevention and control practices within the service area.

  • Support the training and mentorship of general practitioners, midwives, nurses, interns, and other healthcare providers.

  • Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and professional development activities.

  • Contribute to capacity-building initiatives organized by FGAE.

  • Prepare and submit service reports and clinical performance data as required.

  • Support monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities related to maternal and child health services.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussion.
