Job Summary
Mers Consulting & Construction PLC is looking for a driven, experienced, and highly professional HR & Administration Manager to take ownership of our people and administrative functions and play a key role in strengthening our growing organization. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building practical HR systems, managing the full employee lifecycle, supporting management, and creating a professional and well-organized workplace. We are looking for a proactive HR professional with a strong knowledge of Ethiopian labour practices, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the confidence to independently lead HR operations. In this role, you will independently manage the full employee lifecycle while help build effective HR systems, policies, and a well-organized workplace.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or with related field of study

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant HR experience, ideally in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience in construction, consulting, engineering, or other project-based organizations is an advantage.

Salary: Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the full HR cycle: recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and separation.
Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems.
Manage employee contracts, personnel records, attendance, leave, and HR documentation.
Coordinate payroll, benefits, pension, and other employee-related administrative matters.
Address employee relations, disciplinary matters, and workplace concerns professionally and confidentially.
Oversee office administration and ensure efficient daily administrative processes.
Advise management on HR, employee, and organizational matters.
Skills & Competencies
Proven ability to independently manage HR functions and establish practical HR systems.
Good knowledge of HR practices and applicable Ethiopian labour regulations.
Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
A high level of integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and professionalism.
