Job Overview 

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will provide vital support to maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will play an integral part in our financial operations as we continue to grow in the construction and trade industries. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and ledger updates. 

• Prepare and process invoices, ensuring timely collection and payments. 

• Assist in compiling and analyzing financial reports for construction projects and trading operations. 

• Help track project budgets, monitor costs, and report variances to management. 

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting activities. 

• Conduct regular inventory audits for trading operations and reconcile any discrepancies. 

• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting. 

• Assist in preparing documents for audits and liaise with auditors as needed. 

• Stay updated on tax regulations and assist in ensuring compliance with relevant financial legislation.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 

• 6 month -2 years of accounting experience (construction or trading industry experience is a plus). 

• Familiarity with accounting software such as peachtree, excel, or similar tools. 

• Proficiency in MS Excel, with skills in creating and managing spreadsheets for reporting. 

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. 

• Basic understanding of project cost accounting and inventory management. 

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively. 

Preferred Skills 

• Experience in the construction and/or trading sectors. 

• Knowledge of tax compliance and local financial regulations. 

• Strong organizational and time-management skills. 

• Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
