Job Title: Junior Palliative Care Nurse

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse Palliative Care provides compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals with life-limiting illnesses. Provide a focused on improving the quality of life for patients and their families by managing symptoms, providing comfort, and offering emotional support.

Description of Major Duties:

• Assess the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of patients provide holistic care.

• Implement nursing interventions to alleviate distress and improve comfort.

• Work closely with the interdisciplinary palliative care team.

• Communicate with family members and caregivers to provide support and education.

• Provide compassionate end-of-life care, focusing on comfort and dignity.

• Offer emotional and spiritual support to patients and families.

• Help families navigate decisions regarding advance directives and hospice care.

• Advocate for the patient's preferences and rights in treatment decisions.

• Support patient in making informed decisions about their care options.

• Provide grief and bereavement support to patient family when necessary.

• Conduct the day care program as necessary.

• Actively participate during case discussion among the clinical staff.

• Work in collaboration with caregivers who are directly involved in patient care.

• Expected to work full time.

• Be able to develop work plan every month and communicate with immediate supervisor.

• Perform any other duty assigned by immediate supervisory or the organization.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experiences:

• BSc in Nursing with more than five years relevant experience.

• Work experience in nursing at hospital setting is required.

• Be interested in working in palliative/hospice care and resource limited settings.

• Having a nursing professional license.

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Having a valid and current professional license.
