THE ROLE
CAE is seeking qualified and vigilant Lifeguards to maintain a safe swimming environment for students, families, members, and members of the public.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain continuous surveillance of the pool and designated pool areas.
- Enforce pool safety rules and operating procedures.
- Respond immediately to emergencies.
- Perform rescues and provide first aid/CPR within certification and competence.
- Conduct routine pool-deck safety checks.
- Support water-quality and pool inspection activities as delegated.
- Assist with routine plant-room and operational checks when appropriately trained.
- Maintain accurate operational and incident records.
- Report unsafe conditions, equipment faults, and incidents immediately.
- Support customer enquiries while maintaining primary responsibility for pool safety.
- Assist the Aquatics Supervisor during busy periods and programmes.
- Maintain professional conduct and a high standard of vigilance.

PERSON SPECIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Recognised lifeguard certification.
- Strong swimming and rescue capability.
- High level of alertness and responsibility.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to remain calm and effective during emergencies.
Desirable Attributes
- Current first-aid/CPR certification preferred or required according to CAE operating standards.
- Previous swimming-pool lifeguard experience preferred.
