Currently, Horra Corporate Group business portfolio includes coffee and oil seeds export, coffee plantation, automotive assembly, import and distribution, propylene technology manufacturing, technology, real estate development and transit and forwarding. Currently, Horra Corporate Group is led by the CEO, Mr. Adm Kedir, and by qualified and experienced professionals, with 550 permanent staff members and 800 temporary workers working in the corporate office and in different business units.

Job Purpose

The Local Procurement Officer supports the Corporate’s purchasing and Procurement functions by ensuring timely, cost‑effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services. With three and above years of professional experience, the officer will handle procurement processes, supplier coordination, and documentation, while gradually taking on more complex responsibilities under supervision with accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs)

  • Collect and evaluate supplier quotations for accuracy and compliance.

  • Draft purchase orders and maintain procurement records.

  • Support contract negotiations and supplier relationship management.

  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services, coordinating with logistics and stores

  • Verify invoices against purchase orders before submission to Finance.

  • Maintain procurement files for audit and compliance purposes.

  • Provide periodic procurement reports to directorate.

  • Contribute to procurement planning and market research.

Job Requirements

Education Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Basic knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance standards.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles.

  • Exposure to supplier evaluation, contract administration, and compliance processes.

  • Experience in logistics, procurement, or purchasing is must.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and record‑keeping skills.

  • Basic negotiation and analytical abilities.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to complex procurement tasks

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, procurement software, and ERP systems.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
