About the Position
Tongfang System Integration PLC is seeking a qualified, experienced, and results-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing logistics and supply chain operations, including import and export processes, customs clearance, transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of Ethiopian customs procedures, particularly the Electronic Single Window (ESW) system, as well as practical experience in coordinating international shipments and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Manage international shipments, transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping agents, customs authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Handle and follow up on import and export procedures, including customs clearance and related documentation.
- Utilize the Ethiopian Electronic Single Window (ESW) system and other relevant customs platforms.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documents, customs declarations, delivery notes, and other logistics records.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve transportation, customs clearance, and delivery-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations, company policies, and logistics procedures.
- Monitor logistics costs, evaluate operational performance, and recommend cost-saving improvements.
- Prepare regular logistics and inventory reports for management.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Supply Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in logistics, supply chain management, import/export operations, or customs clearance.
- Proven practical experience in import procedures, customs clearance, and international shipment coordination.
- Good working knowledge of the Ethiopian Electronic Single Window (ESW) system and customs clearance procedures.
- Strong understanding of transportation management, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using ERP systems or logistics management software is an added advantage.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and manage competing priorities.
