Reports to: Marketing and Sales Manager

1. Job Purpose

   Advertisement

To conduct accurate on-site measurements of door openings, verify customer requirements, and prepare measurement reports and technical specifications to ensure the proper manufacturing, fitting, and installation of steel doors.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Visit customer sites to measure door openings, including width, height, depth, and other relevant dimensions.

2. Assess site conditions, wall openings, floor levels, frame requirements, and installation clearances.

3. Confirm door types, opening directions, frame specifications, accessories, and other customer requirements.

4. Prepare accurate measurement sheets, sketches, and technical reports for production and installation teams.

5. Coordinate with Sales, Production, and Installation teams to ensure measurements meet manufacturing specifications.

6. Verify site readiness and identify potential installation challenges before production or installation.

7. Recheck measurements and clarify discrepancies before authorizing the release of specifications for production.

8. Communicate with customers, contractors, and site engineers to confirm dimensions and technical requirements.

9. Conduct site inspections during installation, where required, to verify fit, alignment, and compliance with approved specifications.

10. Report measurement errors, design discrepancies, and technical issues to the responsible supervisor and recommend corrective actions.

11. Maintain accurate records of site measurements, approved drawings, revisions, and customer confirmations.

12. Ensure compliance with company quality standards, measurement procedures, and site safety requirements.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Competencies

Education: Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related technical field.

Experience: Relevant experience in site measurement, steel door manufacturing, fabrication, or installation is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in using measuring tapes, laser distance meters, levels, and other measuring instruments.

• Ability to read technical drawings and prepare measurement sketches.

• Knowledge of steel door frames, fabrication tolerances, fitting, and installation requirements.

• Basic computer skills for preparing measurement reports and technical documentation.
