Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery from a recognized government university
CGPA of > 3.00
Experiences:
Minimum of 3 years direct experience
Quantity Required: 1
Gross Salary: 20000 ETB
Language: Afaan oromoo and Amharic is mandatory
Duty Station: Holeta
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and newborn assessments and provide appropriate midwifery care.
Independently manage normal labor and delivery within professional competence and hospital procedures.
Monitor mothers and fetuses during labor, identify complications and danger signs, and take timely appropriate action or arrange referral.
Provide immediate newborn care, including newborn assessment, resuscitation when required, breastfeeding support, and essential newborn care.
Provide health education and counseling on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, newborn care, family planning, and postnatal health.
Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential clinical documentation and ensure proper handover of patient information.
Support and mentor junior midwives and participate in clinical meetings, quality improvement, audits, and continuing professional development activities.
Promote respectful, compassionate, patient-centered care while adhering to professional ethics, infection prevention standards, and hospital policies.
