Job Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery from a recognized government university

• CGPA of > 3.00

Experiences:

• Minimum of 3 years direct experience

Quantity Required: 1

Gross Salary: 20000 ETB

Language: Afaan oromoo and Amharic is mandatory

Duty Station: Holeta

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and newborn assessments and provide appropriate midwifery care.

• Independently manage normal labor and delivery within professional competence and hospital procedures.

• Monitor mothers and fetuses during labor, identify complications and danger signs, and take timely appropriate action or arrange referral.

• Provide immediate newborn care, including newborn assessment, resuscitation when required, breastfeeding support, and essential newborn care.

• Provide health education and counseling on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, newborn care, family planning, and postnatal health.

• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential clinical documentation and ensure proper handover of patient information.

• Support and mentor junior midwives and participate in clinical meetings, quality improvement, audits, and continuing professional development activities.

• Promote respectful, compassionate, patient-centered care while adhering to professional ethics, infection prevention standards, and hospital policies.
