Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery from a recognized government university
CGPA of 3.00 and above.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year direct experience
Quantity Required: 1
Gross salary: 17000 ETB
Language: Afaan Oromoo and Amharic is mandatory
Duty Station: Holeta
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and newborn assessments and provide safe, appropriate midwifery care.
Monitor mothers and fetuses during labor, conduct normal deliveries within professional scope, and promptly identify and report complications or danger signs.
Provide essential newborn care, including newborn assessment, resuscitation when required, breastfeeding support, and postnatal monitoring.
Provide health education and counseling to mothers and families on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, family planning, nutrition, hygiene, and newborn care.
Administer medications and perform clinical procedures safely in accordance with professional standards, authorized orders, and hospital protocols.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, privacy, confidentiality, and professional ethical standards.
Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals and participate effectively in emergency obstetric and newborn care, clinical meetings, training, and quality-improvement activities.
Properly use and safeguard medical equipment and perform other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor within the scope of the position.
