Operations Manager

Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

The Operations Manager owns day-to-day production performance across Lula's Sewing and Embroidery units, translating sales orders into scheduled, on-time, quality output. This role is central to Lula's ability to deliver corporate uniforms, protective wear and embroidered goods at scale and consistency for major clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and schedule production across Sewing and Embroidery to meet order deadlines.

• Oversee daily floor operations, machine utilization, and workflow across production lines.

• Coordinate with Sales on order specifications, timelines and capacity commitments.

• Coordinate with Finance/Inventory to ensure raw materials (fabric, thread, trims) are available when needed.

• Partner with Quality Control to resolve production defects and reduce rework.

• Manage the Digitizing team's output planning to keep embroidery designs production-ready.

• Monitor productivity, machine downtime and material waste; drive continuous improvement.

• Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized production environment.

• Report production KPIs (output, on-time delivery, waste, downtime) to the General Manager.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in industrial/Textile Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).

• 4+ years in garment or textile production management, including supervisory experience.

• Experience with embroidery/digitizing workflows is a strong advantage.

• Track record of meeting production schedules in a multi-line manufacturing setting.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Strong production planning and scheduling ability.

• Hands-on problem-solving on the shop floor.

• Comfortable managing sewing and embroidery machine operators and technicians.

• Good coordination across Sales, Finance and QC.

• Data-driven approach to tracking output and efficiency.
