Ophthalmic Nurse
Number of Positions: 1
Key Responsibilities
- plan, monitor and manage ophthalmic health service
- assess, diagnose and prescribe to the scope
- operate and manage ophthalmic machines
- perform minor ophthalmic surgery
- Assist ophthalmologists and other eye-care professionals with patient assessment, treatment and follow-up.
- Prepare patients for ophthalmic examinations, procedures and surgery.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
- Administer prescribed eye medications and educate patients on eye health, treatment adherence and post-operative care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure the proper handling and readiness of ophthalmic instruments and equipment.
- Apply infection prevention and control measures and uphold patient safety and confidentiality.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
- Recognized ophthalmic nursing qualification from an accredited institution.
- Valid nursing lisence to practice in Ethiopia.
- Experience in ophthalmic nursing or eye-care services is an advantage.
- Good communication, organizational and patient-care skills.
