JOB SUMMARY & PURPOSE
The Procurement Specialist co-designs and implements procurement strategies that ensure transparency, efficiency, and accountability across AIH's purchasing and property management systems. The specialist oversees supplier management, competitive bidding, risk protocols, and ensures that subsidiaries adopt standardized and compliant procurement procedures.
REMUNERATION & BENEFITS
Monthly Base Salary: ETB 45,000 – 65,000 (Gross, based on experience and qualification)
Allowances & Benefits: Housing, transport allowance, and progressive medical/life insurance coverage as per the approved AIH Compensation & Benefits Framework
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Procurement Strategy & Planning:
Co-design and implement procurement strategies ensuring transparency, efficiency, and accountability in purchasing and property management.
Assist in identifying, collecting, and organizing procurement needs and prepare annual procurement plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment with corporate and project strategies.
Supplier Selection & Management:
Oversee the selection, evaluation, and management of suppliers, ensuring competitive bidding processes, quality assurance, and adherence to ethical procurement standards.
Risk & Compliance Management:
Implement risk management protocols to address supply chain disruptions, fraud, or non-compliance, including supplier due diligence and process audits.
Leverage e-procurement systems to streamline purchases, enhance transparency, and track procurement performance metrics.
Subsidiary Support & Oversight:
ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Minimum of a University Degree (Master's or Bachelor's degree) in Procurement and Supplies Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven professional experience in procurement, supply chain management, or purchasing operations.
Experience within corporate holding environments, public enterprises, or a large-scale organization is an advantage.
Core Competencies:
Comprehensive knowledge of public and corporate procurement directives, tendering procedures, and contract management.
High ethical standards, personal integrity, and commitment to transparency.
Proficiency in e-procurement systems and digital supply chain tools.
Disqualifying Conditions: Candidates below 18 years of age, those convicted of criminal offenses involving dishonesty or fraud, or individuals previously dismissed from service for serious gross misconduct are not eligible for employment.
