: Procurement Team Leader
General Purpose of the Job: The Position is responsible for purchasing products/services by verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders to ensure the timely supply of goods and services and proper and efficient maintenance of purchase data and information.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of bid documents and supplier bid lists to obtain competitive quotations on goods and services.
In consultation with Team leader or Senior Purchaser, prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price.
Forward purchase orders to suppliers and expedite orders
Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolve delivery error with suppliers.
Initiate payment requisition for purchases by compiling receiving and other supporting documents, which evidence purchases of goods.
Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes.
Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation on all purchases, contracts, correspondence and related follow up.
Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
Maintain and update all procurement files and transaction tracking matrices.
Provide training and support to junior staff to enhance their skills in performing their duties.
Job Requirements
Qualification: BA/MA/PhD in Procurement and Supplies Management/Management/Business Administration, Accounting.
Experience: 7/5/2 years of experience in procurement or 3 years of experience as Senior Purchaser in related company.
