Job Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or with related field of study

Experience:

• More than 6 years of general experience and 2 years of specific experience in road construction / road maintenance construction

• Specific experience: Asphalt maintenance and related works

Quantity Required: 2

License: Renewed professional license

Location of work: Different project sites

Duties and Responsibilities

Planning and Management

• Prepare and update the work program, schedule, resource plan, and budget for each site.

• Mobilize and manage staff, equipment (pavers, rollers, graders, excavators, tippers), and materials

• Coordinate the foremen, engineers, surveyors, and operators across project sites

Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports

• Report on delays, risks, and corrective actions to management

Contract and Cost Management

• Control costs, fuel use, and equipment utilization

• Handle correspondence with the client, consultant, and subcontractors

Technical and Quality Control

• Make sure asphalt works follow the specifications, drawings, and the ERA (Ethiopian Roads Administration) standards

• Supervise asphalt mix quality, temperature, compaction, and surface finish

• Approve material tests and Requests for Inspection (RFI) with the supervising consultant

Skills & Competencies:

• Project planning and scheduling, measurement and IPC preparation, MS Office (Excel, Word) and MS Project, strong leadership and communication

• Willingness to work at different project sites
