Job Description
Purpose of the Role
The Purchaser is responsible for procuring medical supplies, medications, equipment, and other materialsfor the smooth operation of the Medical Center, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Advertisement
Identify purchasing needs across departments (pharmacy, lab, OPD, dialysis, etc.) and process purchase requests
Collect and compare price quotations (proforma invoices) from suppliers
Prepare bid analysis / comparison documents and submit for approval
Place orders with approved suppliers and follow up on delivery timelines
Verify received goods against purchase orders (quantity, quality, specifications)
Maintain accurate procurement records, receipts, and supplier documentation
Coordinate with the finance department for payment processing
Build and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors
Ensure compliance with the organization's procurement policies and procedures
Report on procurement status, pending orders, and supply needs to management
Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Purchasing & Supply Management, Business Administration, Management, or related field
Minimum expereince 2 year
Required Skills & Attributes
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Honesty, integrity, and attention to detail
Good organizational and record-keeping skills
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Knowledge of local suppliers/market is an advantage
