Quality Control Officer

Job Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Consistently sample, analyze, and monitor product, packaging, and raw material quality 

• Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends.

• Perform and oversee micro-quality testing to safeguard consumer health 

• Monitor quality of raw materials and warehouse operations

• Comply with safety and quality systems to reduce risk of recalls or regulatory non-compliance that could impact market access.

• Input results daily into the quality management system, analyze trends, and report non-conformances.

• Communicate findings and trends with internal teams, fostering collaboration and awareness that drive accountability and operational excellence across the plant.

• Instruct staff in quality control and analytical procedures.

• Direct product testing activities throughout production cycles

• Perform duties and responsibilities of sanitary officer 

• Perform duties and responsibilities micro biologist 

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Education:  

• BSC degree in food science or food engineering only

Experience:

• At least 2 years in a similar position

• Experience in food, beverage, confectionery, packaging, or consumer goods manufacturing is an advantage

Place of work: burayu industrial zone

Employment type: permanent
