Quality Control (QC) Manager

Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

The QC Manager safeguards Lula's reputation for flawless garment and embroidery work by setting and enforcing quality standards across sewing, embroidery and finishing, catching defects before goods reach corporate and institutional clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and maintain quality standards for sewing, embroidery, digitizing and finishing processes.

• Inspect in-process and finished goods for defects (stitching, sizing, embroidery accuracy, thread breakage, finishing).

• Work with Operations to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.

• Approve pre-production samples against client specifications before full production runs.

• Maintain QC records, defect logs and rework/rejection tracking.

• Train production staff on quality standards and best practices.

• Conduct final inspection and sign-off before goods are released to clients.

• Support Operations in reducing waste, rework and material loss through quality improvements.

• Report quality metrics and recurring issues to the General Manager.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Textile/Garment Technology, Quality Management, or related field.

• 3+ years of QC experience in garment, textile or embroidery manufacturing.

• Strong knowledge of sewing and embroidery quality standards and inspection methods.

• Experience implementing corrective/preventive action processes preferred.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Sharp eye for detail in fabric, stitching and embroidery defects.

• Methodical, standards-driven approach to inspection and documentation.

• Effective at coaching production staff on quality without disrupting flow.

• Good communication and coordination with Operations and Sales.

• Calm, firm decision-making on accept/reject calls.
