Retail Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, high-energy Retail Manager to oversee our retail operations in Addis Ababa. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership and operational expertise with a passion for sales and customer service. You will lead, train, and motivate store staff, manage inventory and daily operations, and execute strategic sales initiatives to drive foot traffic and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, supervise, and coach store staff to achieve sales targets; evaluate employee performance and provide actionable feedback; manage scheduling and time tracking.

• Store Operations Management: Oversee daily opening/closing procedures, maintain high standards of store visual presentation and cleanliness, and enforce company policies to maintain a safe, secure environment.

• Sales & Marketing Execution: Develop and execute sales strategies, in-store events, and promotions; monitor sales performance trends and adjust tactics to maximize profitability and foot traffic.

• Inventory & Financial Control: Manage stock levels and merchandise ordering; oversee store budgets and expenses; ensure accurate cash handling and POS operations; prepare detailed sales, expense, and inventory reports.

• Customer Experience: Drive a customer-centric environment by handling inquiries, resolving complaints efficiently, monitoring customer feedback, and continuously improving service standards.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: BA or MA degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: 5–8 years of experience in staff management within a sales/marketing environment. Prior experience in the mobile phone industry is highly advantageous.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong data analysis skills.
