Job Description

Ramb Trading PLC is a growing Ethiopian import, export, and trading company engaged in international trade, commodity supply, vehicle and machinery importation, and other commercial activities. We are looking for qualified, responsible, and motivated professionals to join our team.

Position: Senior Accountant

Number of candidates: 1

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the company’s accounting and financial records.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Maintain accurate general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records.

• Monitor cash flow, bank transactions, and reconciliations.

• Prepare tax declarations and ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax and accounting requirements.

• Handle import/export-related accounting and documentation.

• Coordinate with banks, auditors, suppliers, customers, and government offices when required.

• Monitor financial transactions related to LC, foreign currency, trade finance, and import/export activities.

• Review accounting entries and financial documents prepared by junior accounting staff.

• Support management with financial analysis, budgeting, and decision-making.

• Ensure proper filing and documentation of all financial records.

Job Requirements

Candidate Qualities & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Relevant professional accounting experience, preferably 3+ years.

• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and accounting practices.

• Experience with import/export or trading companies is highly preferred.

• Experience dealing with banks and trade-finance transactions is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.

• Honest, organized, responsible, and trustworthy.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
