Senior Accountant

Job Description

Our company Aymelel Business and Services S.C is looking for the following vacant positions.

Position: Senior Accountant

• Core Objective: Manage day-to-day financial operations for the operational rental spaces while overseeing capital expenditure (CapEx) and construction accounting for the development phase, ensuring alignment with Ethiopian tax and commercial laws.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Operations: Handle general ledger, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow forecasting using accounting software (e.g., Qu Peachtree/Sage, or ERP systems).

• Construction Accounting: Track construction-in-progress (WIP), manage CapEx budgets, and oversee specialized contractor billing and milestone payments.

• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure accurate financial reporting, periodic tax filings (VAT, withholding tax, and income tax) in compliance with Ethiopian Revenues and Customs Service (ERCS) regulations, and adherence to IFRS for SMEs.

Job Requirements

• Education: BA Degree or Diploma in Accounting,

• Experience: 2–4 years of experience, ideally in real estate, property management, or construction environments.

• Technical Skills: * Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word

• Familiarity with Peachtree/Sage accounting software is required

• Knowledge of the Ethiopian tax system and $e-tax$ portal.

• Languages: Fluent in Amharic (spoken and written); strong professional working proficiency in English.

• Salary: Negotiable
