About the Position
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our Finance & Accounts Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, accounting records, financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and ensuring compliance with applicable financial policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review accounting records, financial statements, and management reports.
- Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure proper documentation and authorization.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, and bank transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support budgeting, financial planning and cash-flow forecasting.
- Monitor budget performance and investigate significant variances.
- Ensure proper recording and reconciliation of bank, cash, supplier, customer, and other accounts.
- Review invoices, payment requests, receipts, and supporting documents.
- Ensure compliance with tax, accounting, and other applicable financial requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required financial information.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and supporting documents.
- Provide financial information and analysis to management for decision-making.
- Supervise and support junior finance/accounting staff when assigned.
- Perform other finance-related duties assigned by management.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree & above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a medium or large organization.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial controls.
- Experience with Peachtree Accounting/Sage 50 is required or highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and other accounting/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
