JOB PURPOSE

Leads all preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, performance testing of electrical equipment and systems. Installation of electrical components and control circuits and advanced troubleshooting and corrective maintenance tasks on electrical equipment and systems to assist the smooth production process and other service delivery units.

Expected result/outcome

• Proper electrical installation and testing on electrical apparatus.

• Inspect electrical status of machinery and take corrective action.

• Timely maintenance/ replacement of electrical equipment and systems.

Duties

• Performs electrical installations based upon specifications; Examine and participate in planning of new installations or electrical retrofits; Assemble and install new electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.

• Inspects the wiring and electric status of production machinery to ensure well functioning.

• Participates directly in complex and difficult on-site maintenance and service activities and performs the most advanced level troubleshooting and fault identification on electrical equipment and systems.

• Repairs malfunctions and damages; perform all level preventative and predictive maintenance activities to guarantee the smooth functioning of electrical equipment and systems of the production facility.

• Develops weekly work schedule, and plans workload requirements in accordance with designated priorities and objectives to contribute to the smooth flow of production and service provision of the company

• Evaluate the quality and efficiency of other electricians work by making regular inspections of work, reviewing daily work reports, and advising and directing subordinate personnel in the improvement of work methods to produce successor.

• Directs and trains junior electricians to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to improve their capabilities.

• Assure work sites are consistently set up and operated in a safe manner to protect oneself and other from  danger.

• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and other regulatory requirements (national and international) are being followed on a daily basis to keep up standards set produce quality outputs.

• Prepares periodic performance   reports and submit to immediate supervisor.

• Performs other similar duties assigned by immediate supervisor.

• Performing and acting the plans on the give time and quality of work.                                                                               * Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including circuit breakers, control panels, motors, office equipment’s and lighting system.

• Follow and support the operational crew and the operators based on their daily activities.                                          * Following the daily inspections and acivities on dry run and prodction hrs.                                          * Figer out the rout causes of the break down by analysing the situation.                                                * Check and Perform routine inspections of electrical equipment and machineries are addressed.                                                                                                                                               * Use diagnostic tools to identify problems and implement effective solutions quickly to minimize downtime.

• Collect data for each lines the defective product and identify,analayze the actual defect product.                                                               * Propose alternative solutions for the bottle neck machineries and further improvement.

 Job Requirements

QUALIFICATION &SKILLS  REQUIRED

Education  Diploma/TVET level 4 certificate in electricity

Experience   6 years in similar industry
