Job Summary

The Senior Fleet Planner matches truck and driver capacity to cargo demand, preparing deployment plans that maximize availability and productivity while minimizing downtime.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate fleet deployment and utilization plans based on cargo demand.

• Prepare short- and medium-term fleet plans to maximize vehicle availability and productivity.

• Plan vehicle allocation by route, customer, cargo type, and transport corridor.

• Coordinate with Fleet Dispatch, Operations, Commercial, and Maintenance to align truck availability with demand.

• Coordinate maintenance planning with the Maintenance Department to minimize downtime.

• Forecast fleet capacity needs based on cargo demand, available trucks, and drivers.

• Monitor planned versus actual deployment, utilization, and turnaround, and act on gaps.

• Prepare fleet planning reports and support contingency planning for shortages and demand changes.

Job Requirements

• BA/BSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (2 years with a master's degree) in fleet planning, transport operations, logistics or resource planning.
