Job Description

1. Job summery

Working under the supervision of HR service division head, Senior Human Resource officer is responsible for Leading recruitment, managing labor relations, Updating HR Data and enforcing occupational health and safety.  He/She manages day-to-day HR operations within the food processing facility. This role ensures the plant is optimally staffed with skilled personnel, maintains strict compliance with labor and food safety regulations, and fosters a safe, productive working environment across all shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruitment & Onboarding: Execute end-to-end hiring for production staff, shift supervisors, Other Supporting staffs and technical roles.

• Workforce Planning: Analyse production forecasts together with the concerned departments to determine seasonal staffing needs and manage temporary labor agencies.

• Partner with temporary staffing agencies to scale headcount up or down based on seasonal production demands.

• Lead comprehensive onboarding programs, ensuring all new hires complete mandatory Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety hygiene briefings before entering the production floor.

• Conduct orientation focusing heavily on factory safety standards and company policies.

• Industrial & Employee Relations: Resolve workplace grievances, mediate disputes, and enforce disciplinary procedures in a fair, consistent manner. Maintain a harmonious working environment to minimize operational disruptions.

• Labor Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to local labor laws and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations. Manage injury reporting, workers' compensation, and collaborate with safety officers.

• Attendance & Payroll Administration: Oversee time and attendance tracking and process monthly payroll accurately together with other HR Team.

• Monitor absenteeism and lateness patterns, enforcing the company’s attendance policy consistently.

• Coordinate with the Finance department to ensure accurate processing of Salary, overtime and other payments.

• Performance & Training: Administer performance evaluations, manage shift KPIs, and coordinate capability-building programs like machine operations or safety training.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, conducting fair and well-documented disciplinary investigations.

• Maintain open communication with union representatives (if applicable) to proactively resolve workplace conflicts.

• Implement retention strategies and engagement initiatives to minimize turnover in high-stress production environments.

• Collaborate with the OSH) team to manage worker’s compensation claims, return-to-work programs, and accident reporting.

• Ensure all personnel files and medical checks (e.g., food handler certifications) are up to date for regulatory audits.

• Identify skills gaps on the production line and help develop cross-training matrices to increase workforce flexibility.

Required Skills

• Attention to detail crucial for accurate record-keeping, data entry, and processing documents.

• Familiar with HR software and database management systems.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with the HR team

• Basic computer skills/Microsoft word & Excel/

Job Requirements

BA Degree in Managment, Business Administration, and other related fields and at least six years experience from which 2 years in a senior position.
