Job Description
KADISCO General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated Senior Laboratory Technologist to join our Laboratory Department.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (BSc) in Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Laboratory Technology.
Valid professional license to practice.
Additional certifications or specialized laboratory training are an advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant clinical laboratory experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and supervise laboratory testing in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Ensure accurate, timely, and reliable reporting of laboratory results.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and analyzers.
Implement and monitor internal quality control and participate in external quality assurance programs.
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, infection prevention, and biosafety standards.
Review and validate laboratory test results before release.
Maintain proper documentation, inventory, and reagent management.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior laboratory professionals.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
Participate in laboratory quality improvement initiatives and accreditation activities.

Clinical Chemistry
Hematology
Microbiology
Immunology and Serology
Blood Bank (Transfusion Medicine)
Molecular Diagnostics (PCR and other molecular techniques)
Histopathology and Cytology
Clinical Microscopy
Quality Management Systems (ISO 15189 or equivalent)
Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIS/HMIS)
Operation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated laboratory analyzers
Internal Quality Control (IQC) and External Quality Assessment (EQA) programs
Laboratory accreditation, quality improvement, and audit processes
Mentoring and supervising laboratory staff in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory setting
