Job Title : Senior Machine Operator

Job Purpose

To operate wire drawing machines as per specifications of machines

Key Accountabilities

• Operators wire drawing machine to shape or emboss wire
• Reviews work orders and selects shaping, or embossing roller dies according to specifications.
• Position roller dies in machine that shapes, reduces, or embosses wire, such Copper and Aluminum to form wire.
• Turn set screws to secure roller die in machine.
• Inserts wire into machine feed mechanism, starts machine, and monitors machine operation.
• Measure wire thickness to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometer.
• Installs progressively smaller dies in machine and repeats operation until wire Diameter meets specifications.
• Measure physical properties of wire, such as tensile strength and bend set, and Calculate elongation data, using test instruments and calculator.
• Records production information, manually or using computer.
• Performs related duties as needed or assigned.

Qualification & Education:

• Education: Technical college diploma in general mechanics/machine/Electricity or any other field
• Years of Experience: A minimum of 3 years work experience in the field preferably in Working in cable industry

Language: Good English

Computer skills: Microsoft office / CRM – Oracle is a plus and relevant to the job.

Technical competencies:

• Knowledge of electrical products (cables, accessories)
• Safety and health awareness in the company
• Knowledge of the industry Quality System ISO 9001, 2008 and new applied implemented system
