:: Senior Purchaser

General Purpose of the Job: This position is responsible for the timely purchase of agricultural products, farm inputs, and inputs from local and international sources with due consideration for cost effectiveness and quality to ensure effective and efficient operation.         

• Consult with Divisional heads or their respective designees to determine commodity/service needs and delivery schedules.

• Provide necessary information required for preparation of periodic procurement plan; and advise procurement and logistics team leader for necessary revisions and updates of procurement plan.

• Assist in the development of specification for services, equipment, products, or supplies.

• Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.

• Prepare tender documents, draft contract clauses, prepare specifications, and references to technical performance requirements suitable for the contracts in question.

• Determine the appropriate method of solicitation in accordance with applicable laws and Company policies.

• Conduct public bid/proposal opening for projects over the formal bid threshold in accordance with established procedures

• Develop and assemble procurement documents and coordinate any required reviews to ensure consistency and accountability in Modjo Poultry Farm PLC procurements.

Job Requirements

Qualification:  BA/MA/PhD in Procurement and Supplies Management/Management/Business Administration, Accounting.

Experience: 5/4/0 years of experience in procurement activities or 2 years of experience as Purchaser in related company.
