Job Description

About the Role

EASE Engineering is looking for an experienced and commercially strong Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Technical & Commercial Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity surveying, tender estimation, cost control, commercial analysis, project valuations, variations, claims, and final accounts. The role will contribute to maintaining project cost performance and supporting sound commercial decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Contract

  • Prepare quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

  • Prepare cost estimates and detailed rate build-ups.

  • Review market-price information, supplier quotations, and subcontractor quotations.

  • Prepare tender cost breakdowns and pricing recommendations.

  • Review project margins and support commercial review.

  • Maintain the approved PT cost basis and support PT pricing.

  • Prepare cash-flow inputs for tender and commercial reviews.

Post-Contract

  • Establish and maintain approved project budgets.

  • Track committed and actual project costs.

  • Prepare cost-to-complete and final-cost forecasts.

  • Monitor project revenue and expected margins.

  • Prepare Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs), valuations, and supporting measurements.

  • Measure and value variations and maintain supporting commercial documentation.

  • Evaluate subcontractor payments and variations.

  • Provide cost and commercial input for claims.

  • Prepare final accounts and support commercial closeout.

  • Report significant cost, revenue, and margin deviations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology & Management (COTM), Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant construction experience.

  • Strong experience in estimating, BOQs, IPCs, variations, cost control, and final accounts.

  • Strong Excel and commercial-analysis skills.

  • Contractor-side construction experience is preferred.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and commercial negotiation skills.
