Site Manager – Infrastructure Projects

Job Description

• Manage and oversee all construction activities at the project site to ensure effective and timely project execution.

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate site-based teams, including engineers, supervisors, foremen, and construction workers.

• Plan and organize daily, weekly, and monthly site activities in line with project requirements and work schedules.

• Monitor construction progress and ensure planned activities and project milestones are achieved within the required timeframe.

• Coordinate the activities of different construction teams and ensure proper sequencing and continuity of work.

• Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure their work meets project requirements, quality standards, and agreed schedules.

• Ensure the availability and effective utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and other resources required for site activities.

• Ensure construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality requirements.

• Ensure compliance with project health, safety, and environmental requirements and promote safe working practices across the site.

• Identify and address construction, operational, and coordination challenges that may affect project progress.

• Coordinate with consultants, client representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders on site.

• Conduct regular site meetings and provide direction and guidance to site teams on work priorities and requirements.

• Monitor team performance, productivity, and resource utilization and take appropriate action to improve site performance.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in infrastructure construction, including significant experience in site management.

• Demonstrated experience leading and managing construction teams on infrastructure projects.

• Experience in roads, bridges, water and drainage works, utilities, or other major infrastructure projects.

• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing site resources.
