Job Summary

NLMC is seeking an experienced Surgical Ward Nurse to provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative nursing care and support safe patient recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor surgical patients before and after procedures.

• Monitor vital signs, wounds, drains, pain, and postoperative recovery.

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.

• Identify complications and promptly escalate clinical concerns.

• Support wound care, infection prevention, and patient mobilisation.

• Educate patients and families on postoperative care and discharge instructions.

• Maintain accurate nursing records and collaborate with surgical teams.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• BSc Degree in Nursing.

• Valid professional nursing licence.

• 3–5 years of hospital experience, preferably in a surgical ward.

• Practical experience in postoperative care and wound management is required.

• Specialised surgical nursing training or a relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
