Job Summary
The Welder is under the direct supervision of the Welding Section Coordinator and is responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing metalwork and aluminum infrastructure. This includes gates, walkways, roof structures, metal and aluminum shelves, cabinets, guard booths, grills, handrails, sunshades, architectural aluminum features, and other structures for school compounds and rented residences.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Fabrication & Metal Construction
Construct, install, and maintain soccer goals, security booths, basketball stands, grills, grates, handrails, sunshades, tanker stands, balustrades, metal doors, shutters, frames, partitions, and related fixtures.
Operate and maintain metal shaping, cutting, and fabrication machines.
Aluminum Works & Architectural Fixtures
Execute basic aluminum work, including the precise installation of aluminum profiles, structural frames, and architectural accessories.
Fabricate and install aluminum products such as doors, windows, frames, and partitions.
Repairs, Maintenance, & Building Infrastructure
Replace broken locks, windows, and door glasses at the school and teachers’ residences.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on playground equipment, security doors, gates, and aluminum installations.
Check that all doors, gates, and aluminum fixtures are maintained and serviced periodically.
Replace damaged transparent and iron corrugated sheets, EGA sheets, and roof skirting at the school and residences.
Workshop Operations & Professional Standards
Ensure all equipment, tools, and machines are clean, oiled, or greased and safe for work.
Share knowledge with team members with sincerity, kindness, and professionalism.
Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements
Minimum Educational Qualifications & Professional Experience Required
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in MIG, Gas, TIG, and related welding techniques.
Demonstrated hands-on experience in fabricating and installing aluminum products, including doors, windows, frames, and partitions.
Familiarity with aluminum system profiles, hardware accessories, and the ability to interpret technical and structural drawings.
Physically fit and in good condition.
Strong knowledge of standard practices, processes, tools, equipment, and materials utilized in metal and aluminum work.
