1. Job Summary

Control, monitor and report daily frontline logistics operations in the plant by c analyzing operational performance, communicating, providing guidance, identifying and addressing operational challenges to optimize efficiency and profitability

2. Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop loading and unloading plans based on shipment information, delivery schedules, and available resources. Coordinate with warehouse staff, truck drivers, and other relevant parties to ensure timely and accurate execution of loading/offloading operations.
  • Determine the required equipment, such as forklifts, pallet, or transporter systems, for efficient loading/offloading. Allocate resources effectively, considering factors such as equipment availability, workload, and safety requirements
  • Provide guidance and supervision to warehouse personnel involved in loading/offloading activities. Ensure proper training of staff in operating equipment, following safety protocols, and handling goods to prevent damage or accidents.
  • Monitor the loading/offloading process to ensure compliance with quality standards, such as proper handling, packaging, and labeling of goods. Conduct inspections to verify the accuracy of shipments and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with storekeeper to maintain accurate inventory records before and after loading/offloading operations. Update inventory systems or documentation to reflect the movement of goods, including damaged or returned items.
  • Enforce safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment during loading/offloading operations. Promote adherence to occupational health and safety standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling practices.
  • Communicate with truck drivers, warehouse staff, and other stakeholders to coordinate loading/offloading activities effectively. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments, loading/offloading processes, and any incidents or issues that arise.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track loading/offloading operations performance.
  • Identify and address operational challenges during loading/offloading operations, such as equipment malfunctions, space constraints, or time constraints. Implement corrective measures and alternative solutions to minimize disruptions and delays.
  • Evaluate loading/offloading processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager
  • The position requires a minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, Management or relevant field.
  • 5 or 2 years proven experience in operation management, logistics or transport.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of operational process and logistics.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
