Position Summary:
The Senior Bridge Engineer will lead the structural analysis and design of bridge and culvert projects. The role requires deep technical expertise, autonomy in preparing structural analysis reports, and the ability to work collaboratively with design and construction teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct structural analysis and design for bridge and culvert projects using MIDAS Civil and other relevant software.
- Prepare and review detailed bridge and culvert analysis reports independently.
- Coordinate with drafting and construction teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Review design specifications and ensure compliance with project and regulatory standards.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters.
- Monitor site work and provide technical support during construction phases
Location: Addis Ababa, with frequent travel to project site

Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree (MSc) in Structural Engineering from Addis Ababa University.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in bridge engineering.
- Strong proficiency in MIDAS Civil bridge analysis software.
- Demonstrated ability to independently prepare and present structural analysis reports.
- Familiarity with Ethiopian and international bridge design codes.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent English communication and report writing skills.
- Proficient in office software (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Willingness to work on-site as required by the project.
