ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referendum and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is working to boost its’ institutional strength with a special focus on enhancement of human resource capacity. Accordingly, NEBE would like to invite applicants for Liaison Officer Position who meet the following requirements.

Reports to: Head, Election Logistics
Duty station: NEBE Head Quarter, Addis Ababa
Duration: Permanent
Salary: As per the organization salary scale (Competitive)
Job Summary
The Liaison Officer is responsible for act as the middle person between our business and the other entity to streamline operations, resolve issues, improve communications, and generally ensure that the relationship is as beneficial as possible.
Duties and responsibilities
Process travel documents including visa application of the staffs (Board Members, top management, senior management and professional staffs)
Handles travel arrangements for staffs when going abroad for business or training.
Processes exit and entry visas with appropriate authorities.
Handles activities related to the processing of passports for members of staffs traveling abroad.
Accompanying travelers to and from airport
Collaborate and communicate successfully with other entities outside of the business
Work with other staff members to develop a greater understanding of NEBE business and any issues that arise
Develop and foster relationships with the community, stakeholders, and other entities
Build an excellent networking with government offices.
Be a point of contact for the company where there is a need for representation.
Provide refined and genuine report to the immediate supervisor
Be a mediator between NEBE and other organizations.
Be an open minded to take orders or instructions from supervisor so as to execute accordingly.
If deemed necessary you will be expected to handle some activities on behalf of General Service related with vehicle insurance, internet, telephone, utility, facility etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience:
MA or BA degree in Management, Business Administration, Business Management, Public Administration, Development Management or any other related fields.
Know-How (Skills) (Technical competencies):
Understanding how to craft and deliver messages effectively across different audiences.
Familiarity with managing relationships and representing the organization externally.
Insight into internal processes, policies, and structures to facilitate coordination.
Knowledge of techniques to manage disputes and maintain positive relationships.
Awareness of cross-cultural dynamics, especially in multinational or community-based roles.
Understanding of relevant laws, industry standards, or government protocols.
