About the Role:

We are currently looking for a Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on accounting experience, with a strong focus on prepaid transactions, cheque handling, and accurate recording of financial activities.

This role is key to ensuring the integrity of our financial data and supporting daily accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and record prepaid expenses and ensure accurate amortization schedules.
• Handle and track transaction cheques, including issuance, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Record daily accounting entries related to payments, receipts, journal vouchers, and accruals.
• Assist in maintaining the general ledger and supporting monthly closing activities.
• Reconcile accounts and support bank reconciliation processes.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
• Coordinate with internal departments for invoice verification and approvals.
• Assist in audits and financial reporting as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and journal entries.
• Experience in handling prepaid expenses and transaction cheques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a multi-industry company: Transportation, Manufacturing, Services, Import & Export, Agriculture
• Familiarity with internal control procedures and financial documentation standards.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
